I started PHDOODLESHOP during the final year of my PhD in immunology, at the University of Toronto. Working on my thesis inspired me to make science-themed illustrations. One thing led to another and a small business was created.

There is a strong sense of community amongst graduate students and research lab scientists. No matter where or what we study, we understand each other's accomplishments and struggles. I think that is why running this small business has been so much fun. I get to share illustrations and products that speak to research lab scientists across the globe.
